This anthology of French poetry is a good beginning for any reader interested in the genre of ‘great’ poetry. It is not the best nor the most complete of its kind. However it holds a particular appeal for me – as it was a present from my mother. She used it for her reading group in Springfield Illinois, and sent me the copy after they were done.
